"Hope is the thing
with Feathers
that perches in the soul
and Sings the tune
without words
and never stops ~ at all"
Emily Dickinson
This was the last quote Kelly had chosen for her blog in 2010 and I wanted to share some photos of her beautiful life with all of you.
Lastly, the winner of the doughnut pan is Angie! Congratulations, please email me your address so I can get the pan mailed to you ASAP!
Tomorrow, I will have another extra Give-Away up--Kelly's generous nature will continue:-)

ReplyDeleteKelly is so beautiful. What sweet memories you have of her too short time here with you and her husband and family. There's a blogger...perhaps you know her...Karen of A Scrapbook of Inspiration...who has the most loving philosophy. She says that in times of trouble or stress or loss that one should give a great gift. You certainly are living that philosophy as well.
ReplyDeleteBless our sweet, courageous daughters. My heart is with you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. I'm sorry you know what I'm going through, XOXO
DeleteKelly and I were classmates at MHC ('94). Althoug we did not know eachother there, I wanted to let you know that she has made an impression on me. I am a mother of a 5 year old and 2 month old (both boys) and I sometimes think about the Kelly I "met" through her blog and writings and it helps me to be more present, more generous with my attention and energy, and more appreciative of this time in my life.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss and so glad that Kelly's presence is celebrated through your gifts of cooking and generosity.
Best,
Gale
P.S. I recently moved to Redmond and your recipes are wonderful for this weather.
Gale, email me and we should get together. I would love knowing another MHC alum; both our daughters graduated from there (Erin-'92 and Kelly-'94). XOXO
DeleteI bet that sweet little grandson of yours has the best guardian angel ever! He's lucky to have so many pictures with his mommy loving him.
ReplyDeleteHello Susan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visits and comments to my blog.
I haven't been following you long enough to know about Kelly. She was your daughter? And she died from cancer? I am so sad for you to sustain such a loss. The little child she is holding is so adorable? Do you care for him now?
Please forgive me if these questions are too personal to ask you. I just wasn't quite sure what happened.
Kelly was such an attractive young woman. How tragic to leave this life so young. My heart goes out to you and all your family. Susan
