December's Winner...

Twas the 6th of January and all through the house,
Not a grandchild was stirring, not even Rosie with her toy mouse.
Ari, Maddie, & Emmie have all said good-bye
as Mimi and PopPop give a big sigh.
The holiday season was joyous and bright
and fun was had from morning to night,
But now it's time to look towards a new year
as we'll settle in our new home with family near,
And wish All happiness, love, and good cheer!

Oh my how the time goes by...I doubt if I'll be back in sync until I return from CHA (Craft & Hobby Association Show) in Anaheim.  However, I have drawn the name for December's Give-Away Apron and it is Angie of http://angiesrecipes.blogspot.com/.  Angie, email me your address and I will get your apron sent when I return next week from the show.

In the meantime, one of my dear blog friend's Kirsten Hall of http://www.mykitchenintherockies.com/ has just posted a new culinary trip to Germany for October 2014. Wouldn't it be fun to have your own personal guide to the region she called home (Kirsten now resides in Colorado with her husband and children) and enjoy cooking and learning about this extraordinarily beautiful country.  My mother's family was from Germany and  I'm hoping my schedule will allow me to go this year and explore with Kirsten.  [Go to Kirsten's bog and view her photos taken of last year's trip.]  BTW...Kirsten will also be a guest blog next week when I return and you will see what an amazing baker she is.

There will be an apron up next week and I'll have some photos of the show when I return.  Happy New Year to all, XOXO

  1. I have a niece named Kirsten. So obviously, your friend's blog is a delight. Let us not question my logic at all. How cool to journey to Germany and do have a good week in Anaheim. I think I may have missed a few posts so am off to see. Your grands are adorable!

  2. Congratulations to Angie for winning the darling apron. When I received my beautiful one last month, I was so pleased at the long ties in back. They are just what moms with an ample waistline like me really need.
